Dr. Leah McConnaughey, O.D.

Dr. Leah McConnaughey was born and raised in Hillsboro and has cared for families in the community for more than 26 years. After earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University, she returned home to provide the kind of eye care that helps patients feel understood and confident about their vision.

Dr. McConnaughey enjoys getting to know the people she serves and making sure their eyes stay healthy at every age. She has a special interest in glaucoma care and brings decades of experience to patients who need ongoing management for eye disease.

Outside the exam room, Dr. McConnaughey has coached local soccer and basketball teams and loves being part of a tight-knit community. She also stays busy at home with her son, Ezra, and their lively menagerie of animals, including goats, chickens, dogs, and cats. When she has downtime, you’ll likely find her on the golf course enjoying a quiet afternoon.
